CTMH JULY stamp of the month

I have not posted anything in over a YEAR!! I figured I should post something. I have been crafting, but I've just not posted anything.
I was really kind of stuck in a rut. Doing the same style of coloring. So I tried something a little different. The blender pen didn't work for this, but I wanted the same affect. So I used the blender pen a little. I mostly used fantastix sticks and ink pads. The blender pen was making my paper to wet. This was the best alternative for keeping paper dry. Please leave a comment. Thank you

Paper: CTMH Claire
Ink: stazon jet black, CTMH sunset, hollyhock, blush, butter cream, desert sand, chocolate, pear and olive

Easy Rider!

I love this paper, it's so sweet! I have used it on many cards and banners. I love Hollyhock. It would kill me if CTMH retire it. I bought this stamp last year, and it's the first time I have used it. My friend and I love to go to cycle classes at the gym. Well, I do when I'm not pregnant or injured. This girl makes me think of my friend on her bike.  Hopefully, I will be back in the saddle again soon! It was the perfect stamp to use on her birthday card.

Supplies Used:
Paper - CTMH Sophia
Stamps - CTMH it's your day, card chatter Birthday, penny black easy rider
Ink - memento tuxedo black, CTMH pear, hollyhock and Copics
Accessories - CTMH sparkles, ribbon making memories, Nestabilities classic squares, scalloped squares small, and Cuddle Bug sliders

Mum's Birthday Card

I don't think this card was right at all for my mum. She turned 65 this year! This card was better suited for a 15 year old. Ok, so I was way off the mark on this one. I am only 9 months pregnant after all. And I feel terrible most days. At least this pregnancy I didn't have a hospital stay and I am able to move. I'm thankful for Zofran and Reglan! That's my excuse for my blunder anyway. The next card she gets it will be much better (and more age appropriate!).

Supplies Used:
Paper - me and my big ideas, CTMH pear and watermelon card stock
Stamps - CTMH card chatter Happy Birthday, Stamping Bella poppy Bitty Bloom
Accessories - Nestabilities standard circles, fancy lables, Stickles, and American Craft ribbon

Happy Birthday Carter James (C.J.)

Happy Birthday to little Carter James. I should be a pro at making cards for little ones. I was finding this one a little difficult. I wanted it to be just right. I think I may have been over thinking it. I'm also feeling as big as a house (pregnant) and I can't move around too well. I'm pretty sure a one year old could care less about a card anyway. This is how it turned out. Tell me what you think.

Supplies Used:
Paper - dcwv boys will be boys
Stamps - CTMH card chatter - birthday, Martha Stewart clear toy transportation
Ink - CTMH outdoor denim, star spangled blue, holiday red
Accessories - CTMH sparkles,  Nestabilities labels two, Stickles xmas red

Silver Fairy

Check out my wee fairy. She is just so cute! The stamp is by Wee Stamps, and was illustrated by Sylvia Zet. I have always had a love for fairies. I just had to have her. Sylvia Zet lives in Scotland and is a children's illustrator. That made me want the stamp even more. I was born in Scotland and moved to the U.S with my parents and two sisters when I was a teenager. I still have love for Scotland and feel close ties to my homeland. I'm sure living in Scotland inspires Sylvia to create fairies illustrations. Scotland is such a mystical place.  It's the perfect place to live to fuel someone's imagination.  I like how I colored the fairy, but I hate what I did with the grass and the shadowing!  I wanted to try out my air brush, but it was late and didn't want to wake up my son. Anyway, I still think she is cute.

Supplies Used:
Paper - CTMH pear, hydrangea, bazzil white, Paper Pizazz lavender rosebuds
Inks - memento tuxedo black, Copics, Copics Spicas
Stamp - Wee Stamps silver fairy
Accessories - CTMH just blooms white blooms, CTMH opaques pearls

I Sea It's Your Birthday!

My sister Joanne is a surfer and I wanted to do something beach-related for her card. If I had a surfer girl stamp, I would have used that. I don't so, this is what I came up with. The inside of the card said, It's Your Birthday. Sorry, forgot to take a picture of the inside. I used CTMH liquid glass to make the waves and the sand look wet. I love that stuff.  You can even use it as glue.

Supplies Used:
Stamps - The Greeting Farm mermaid Anya, CTMH
Paper - CTMH dessert sand, bazzil, cloud puff reminisce and a few paper scraps
Inks - memento, Copics, CTMH out door denim, and desert sand
Accessories - CTMH liquid glass, Stickels, CTMH pearls (colored with Copics)
